Call Centre Advisor

Salary: £12.21 per hour/ £25,396.80 per annum (rate to increase with progression opportunities)

Shift pattern: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week) with 1 in 4 Saturdays, working 9am – 1pm (hours back in lieu).

Monday – Friday weekly rotational shifts with rota far in advance: 8am – 5pm and 9:30am – 6:30pm.

Office based in Northampton, Brackmills

Match Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of their client based in Northampton. You’ll be joining a business with a strong and stable business model. You’ll work in their medium sized Contact Centre, within a small team of Advisors. This role is full time – office based at their Brackmills Head Office.

Objective of role:

In this role, you’ll primarily be on the phone, making outbound calls to customers to confirm their scheduled delivery. There will also be some inbound calls. Our client partners with the NHS to deliver medication directly to customers’ doors—specifically for those needing ongoing, repeat prescriptions. To ensure a smooth delivery, each order must be pre-booked with a professional call, and that’s where you come in. This is not cold calling; the customers you contact are expecting and relying on your call for their medication delivery.

While the role is mostly phone-based, about 25% of your time will involve administrative tasks. After or during each call, you’ll update the CRM with relevant notes and action requests. You’ll also handle various reports and use your own email to communicate with both customers and internal teams, providing daily updates.

What we need from you:

We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable working in a phone-based role, where you’ll spend most of your day speaking with customers (and no cold calling!). A professional and friendly phone manner is key, and you’ll need to be okay with working full-time in an office setting. Good IT skills are also important, as you’ll be using the internal system and Microsoft Office.
